Doctor says I can ditch the scooter and the knee crutch, start transitioning from the medical boot to hiking boots. Skiing and hiking again by February or March. Whoo hoo!

I missed day 5! I was doing laundry ๐Ÿ˜‚ Fistmas was day 5, I have tried it before so I'll include that check-in. Day 6 is Jubelale. It's a decent combo of malt and hops.

This is the first coffee stout that I've tried that *actually* tastes like coffee. Would have been a solid 4 if it had been slightly sweeter.

I picked up my advent calendar today! Day 1 is Jingle Java Holiday Stout by Bent River Brewing ( I just popped it in the fridge, I will report back later when it's cold ๐Ÿ™‚

Katz's Ale at Katz's deli. Pretty good, a nice, mild brown.

Molรฉ Merkin from Firestone. Dessert in a bottle. Also knock you on your ass in a bottle.

My local beer shop did an "advent calendar" of beer this year. I pre-ordered it and am hoping to pick it up today or tomorrow so I can start it on time!

Hmf. Forty five minute delay on the drive home. Obviously it's better to sit on my butt in a brewery then sit on my butt in a traffic jam. Tasting flight at Lazy Duck in San Jose.

I'm usually not into flavored beer, but Harpoon UFO Winter Blonde (vanilla & coffee wheat ale) is on point.

There was a time that I thought I'd never like a Revolution beer. Fist City, Cross of Gold, and Anti-hero... I didn't like any of them. I then tried Rosa, Freedom of Speach, Sun Crusher, Fistmas, and their Oktoberfest... I can honestly say I like more of their brews than I dislike ๐Ÿ˜ Freedom of Press is just as amazing.
